Planting the Library Garden (kids)

Grades K-5 with an adult. Learn about gardening basics and dig in to plant vegetables in the Library Garden with the help of a Master Gardener from the University of Illinois Extension Office. All produce is donated to the Vernon Township Food Pantry. Optional: Sign up for a week to help tend the garden & deliver harvested vegetables to the nearby pantry during the growing season. Planting rain date: Saturday afternoon, 1 p.m.

This program is free and open to grades K-5 with an adult. Registration is required. Register online here, by telephone at 224-543-1486, or in person at any service desk in the library.
