[Online] Learn about the Native American tribes that once inhabited Illinois from Kim Sigafus McIver, an Ojibwa author from Freeport, IL. She discusses the Native traditions and culture of the tribes that once lived in Illinois in the early 1800’s before the Indian Removal Act moved them west.

This event is produced in partnership with Illinois Humanities. The Illinois Humanities Road Scholars Speakers Bureau invites Illinois authors, artists, and educators to share their expertise and enthusiasm with people throughout the state, enabling local nonprofit organizations to present free-admission cultural programs of high quality to their communities for a modest fee.
