'Mask Required' Access

Before-hours access is available to anyone who prefers an extra measure of COVID-19 mitigation.

NEW: advance signup is no longer required. Just visit. 

All visitors (ages 2 and up) are required to wear a properly fitting mask in all library spaces during "Mask Required" hours. 

Library staff passing through spaces accessible by the public will also be masked. (Please note: children under age 2 are not required to mask and may be present.)

Services during this time are limited to:

  • shelf browsing
  • self-service checkout (current VAPLD card required)
  • unaided public computer use (current VAPLD card required)
  • self-service copy center use (bring correct change; see Copy & Print page for info)

Personal assistance is not available.

Ages 3-5 without an adult. Get ready for school with Miss Emily by practicing the language, listening, and pre-reading skills needed for kindergarten.

Children attend this storytime independently (while their adult remains in the library), giving them an opportunity to practice being in a classroom setting.

Please choose between the 9:30 AM session or 10:30 AM session.

We will use the Silhouette Cameo to create a one of a kind, nature-inspired card with a Springy floral print. Participants will learn how to use the Silhouette Cameo software, and get some practice making their own cards.
