Program Description

Event Details

North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic (NSLAC) pro bono coordinator and attorney, Nicole Minnis, will be on hand to explain what a power of attorney is and why you need one for your health care and property needs.

NSLAC provides Lake and north suburban Cook County residents accessible, quality pro-bono legal services in the areas of immigration, domestic violence, and housing to give those in need of access to justice.

An online attendance option is also available. Click here to sign up for online access.

Following the information session, patrons who qualify based on income can register for NSLAC’s free Powers of Attorney for Health Care and Property on November 1st, 3:30-6:30pm. To qualify for a free meeting with an attorney, a patron’s household income must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty guidelines ($33,975 for a one-person household, $45,775 for a two-person household). The information session is available to all regardless of income. To register for the November 1st clinic, call NSLAC at 847-737-4042 or email probono@nslegalaid.org.
