Event Details
Families with children in grades K-5. Plant vegetables in the Library Garden. Learn about gardening basics, then dig in to plant. Produce harvested from the Library Garden throughout the summer is donated to the Vernon Township Food Pantry. Bring your lunch and linger after the program to enjoy some family time in the public outdoor space of the Library Learning Garden.
RAINDATE: Friday, June 7, 1 pm.
Optional: Sign up for a week in summer to help tend the garden and deliver harvested vegetables to the nearby food pantry. Send an email to garden@VAPLD.info for details.

This outdoor event takes place on the Annex Lawn
The Library Annex and Library Learning Garden are located at 4 Indian Creek Road, behind the main library building.
Limited parking is available in the Library Annex lot. Enter from Indian Creek Road, off of Olde Half Day Road. Or park at the back of the main library parking lot and follow the signs to the Library Learning Garden.
Seating provided by the library is limited; please bring a blanket or chairs to ensure your comfort. Also recommended: hat, water bottle, sunscreen or bug spray. Portable restrooms are available.
