Evidence-Based Strategies for Fostering Personal and Family Well Being

In today's world, we know that parents are trying to do their very best. However, caregivers often find their personal resources are spread thin, making it difficult to successfully manage the many challenges presented before them.

D96, D102, D103 Parent Education and Vernon Area Public Library are excited to welcome back Dr. Caroline Adelman to help us find solutions to this common parenting challenge. Dr. Adelman of Chicago Psychotherapy will discuss how parental prioritization of self-care and self-regulation can result in better co-regulation in their family system. This, in turn, can result in improved management of the challenging emotions in their children and in their home.

Dr. Adelman will build on the analogy of "placing the oxygen mask on ourselves before we can help others" by discussing evidence-based coping tools, self-regulation tools, and strategies on how to improve emotional hygiene in the home.

Please take a positive step toward improved self-care and join us for this important presentation on how to improve the functioning of your family system by learning more about the important skills of self-regulation and co-regulation.

At the request of the presenter, this event will not be recorded, so mark your calendars!
