Event Details

Old Town School teaching artists explore the origins of Bluegrass โ€“ a music that was developed by and for homesick southerners who migrated north in the early 20th century to find work.  Feature a live performance by musicians Coby Maddox and Lisa Joy DeRosia, explore the musical elements of Bluegrass, such as the rhythmic structure, vocal harmonies, and the fusion of blues scales and melody.

This outdoor event takes place on the Annex Lawn

The Library Annex is located at 4 Indian Creek Road, behind the main library building. On the lawn behind it is the Library Learning Garden - a space for outdoor events at the library and enjoyment anytime.

Limited parking is available in the Library Annex lot. Enter from Indian Creek Road, off of Olde Half Day Road. Or park at the back of the main library parking lot and follow the signs to the Library Learning Garden.

Seating provided by the library is limited; please bring a blanket or chairs to ensure your comfort. Also recommended: hat, water bottle, sunscreen or bug spray. Portable restrooms are available.
