San Francisco’s Montgomery Block, also known as the Monkey Block, was a Bohemian artist colony before it was knocked down. Famous authors and artists who stayed there included Dorothea Lange, Mark Twain, Robert Lewis Stevenson, Jack London and Maynard Dixon. Lorri Ungaretti of the San Francisco Historical Society will provide the lecture.
