[Hybrid] Widely recognized as the founder of American landscape architecture, Frederick Law Olmsted  was also noteworthy as a conservationists, public health official, social reformer, and author. Learn about Olmsted's close ties with Chicago, including his influence on Jackson Park, Washington Park and the site for Chicago's 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, with Julia Bachrach, author of The City in a Garden: A history of Chicago’s Parks.
