Discuss The Flower Sisters  by Michelle Collins Anderson

West Plains, Missouri, this historical novel is based on the real life Bond Dance Hall explosion of 1928 that killed 39. Meet a host of characters who are still dealing with the repercussions of that night — from Rose, an eccentric mortician who lost family in the explosion, to Dash, a fire-and-brimstone preacher who gave his life to God that night and Jimmy, the hero and chief of police. Fast-forward to the 1970s, when Daisy, Rose’s fifteen-year-old hippie granddaughter, comes to town, and bargains her way into a newspaper internship. She discovers the dance hall story, uncovering the secrets and mystery surrounding that night — including those of her own family.
