Program Description

Event Details

Nonprofit volunteers and professionals: you are invited to this quarterly meetup presented by Vernon Area Public Library, GiveNKind, and The Lake County Community Foundation.

Connect with colleagues at local nonprofits to build relationships, create awareness, and benefit from each other’s experiences and insights. Each meeting includes a presentation or workshop that will help your organization run more effectively, followed by time for refreshments and informal conversations.

Description
In a world of rapid leadership transitions and a wildly shifting fiscal landscape, organizations are finding new ways to collaborate that promote organizational and programmatic sustainability. Many nonprofits are already brilliant at collaborating on programming, and this session will move the conversation forward by exploring models for administrative and structural collaboration, including shared staff, co-location, asset transfers, and mergers/acquisitions.

Learning Objectives

  • Introduction to the range of administrative/strategic partnership structures.
  • Exploration of the use of strategic partnerships as a tool for growth and sustainability.
