Event Details

Join our monthly nonfiction discussion in October as we delve into Travels with George by Nathaniel Philbrick.  Author Philbrick seeks to recreate the various journeys of America's first President George Washington, offering a unique look into the difference and similarities of our nation then and now.  As he, his wife and dog travel to sites known to have been visited by Washington during his term as president, they encounter historians, reenactors, and other citizens leading to an examination of the myths of history and the changes in our society over the past 229 years.

Find the book or audiobook in the Vernon Area Library catalog.
