Nowhere Girl: A Memoir of a Fugitive Childhood by Cheryl Diamond.

"The incredible true story of a family built on lies. What if the people you love most are not who you thought they were? What if you don’t know who you are, either?" In her earliest memories as a four year old, Cheryl's name is Harbhajan and the family are Sikhs.  Soon her name will be Crystal and eventually the family will be Jewish, or Christian, and they will relocate to another place on another continent.  Over time the family of five begins to unravel.  While Cheryl becomes a world-class athlete and then a fashion model, she realizes her identity and legal status are questionable and intertwined with her parent's in ways she may not be able to extricate.

"Cinematic and witty," Nowhere Girl is Diamond's story of her eventful, roller coaster life with all its ups and downs and burned identities.
