Event Details

Discover the little-known story about the professional relationship of two architects with profound impact on Chicago: Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Bertrand Goldberg. While Mies was one of the most famous architects in Germany and director of  the Bauhaus school, Goldberg became one of Mies’ prized pupils. The  teacher and student later became colleagues, but eventually were alienated from  one another. Learn about the intrigue with  Timothy Wittman, architectural historian with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
