Event Details

As Jewish immigrants came to America, they brought their Eastern European musical style with them, but quickly adapted to American tastes and instrumentation. The Maxwell Street Klezmer Quintet preserves and innovates the traditional performance style of immigrant musicians with classical and jazz sensibilities to create a unique sound that pleases audiences of all ages.
