Program Description

Event Details

(Online) Explore America’s own indigenous art form, jazz, which was born here in the United States and continues to thrive today. Deepen your appreciation of the music and its legends, such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis, with musician and educator Mark Tonelli.

The event will be co-produced by the Illinois Humanities Road Scholars Speakers Bureau, which invites Illinois  authors, artists and educators to share their expertise and enthusiasm with people throughout the state, enabling  local nonprofit organizations to present free-admission cultural programs to their communities.

This program will be recorded.
