Program Description

Event Details

Move with greater ease, strength, and confidence at any stage of life through this learning and movement-based program with fitness expert Andrea Metcalf. Learn how posture, breathing, mobility, and core strength support everyday activities such as walking, bending, and lifting. Try simple, accessible movement demonstrations using a stability ball, which each participant can take home and continue practicing. This session empowers attendees to reduce stiffness, improve balance, and support long-term joint health.

No prior Pilates or fitness experience is required, and all movements can be modified. Bring a yoga mat, if accessible. This program is part of the library's yearlong Wellness Series.

This event is free and open to all. Signup is required. Sign up online here, by telephone at 224-543-1485, or in person at the library.
