Explore how the stories and photos of community journalism shape our democracy with Chicago journalist Richard Cahan. From daily reporting to large investigations, local news helps citizens understand what’s at stake in local elections, equips them to get involved in their community and holds public officials accountable. Cahan covered the northern suburbs and Chicago since 1975, from The Libertyville Independent-Register to the Chicago Sun-Times.
