Program Description

Event Details

Travel across the Chicago metropolitan region for an intimate view of the city’s most striking homes.  Author Patrick Cannon shares highlights from his book “At Home in Chicago,” an astonishing story featuring Chicago’s preeminent architectural photographer that reveals the city's history through a chronological procession of dwellings―both big and small. Inspect houses built before the 1871 Great Chicago Fire, walk through the mansions that rose during the Gilded Age, check out the apartments finished before the Depression, and scrutinize mid-century and new-century homes. Some of these homes are famous, but most are off limits from Chicago’s famous architectural tours.

This in-person program features limited seating. A virtual version of this program is also available.
