All About Cicadas (4:30pm)

Grades K-5. The cicadas are coming! Educators from the Lake County Forest Preserve teach us about the unique, 17-year lifecycle of Illinois' periodical cicadas. Get an up-close look at preserved specimens and learn about the wild adaptations that have helped this cool critter survive throughout the decades.
