Planting the Library Garden (Kids)

Description:
 Grades K-5 with an adult. Plant vegetables in the Library Garden with the help of a Master Gardener from the University of Illinois Extension Office. Learn about gardening basics and then dig in to plant. All produce is donated to the Vernon Township Food Pantry. Optional: Sign up for a week to help tend the garden & deliver harvested vegetables to the nearby pantry during the growing season. Planting rain date: Sunday, June 3.

This program is free and open to grades K-5 with an adult. Registration is required. Register online here, by telephone at 224-543-1486, or in person at any service desk in the library.
